Found her donor. Found her future.
Found her donor. Found her future.
Receiving the diagnosis
Meet Taylor
Taylor studied biomedical engineering at Arizona State University, and while her diagnosis reshaped her college experience, she never let it stop her. After receiving a transplant from an unrelated donor in 2018, she began sharing the NMDPSM mission with classmates—leading hundreds to join the registry.
Today, Taylor is a proud NMDP employee, having joined in 2021 as a case manager. She also celebrated her five-year re-birthday in 2023 by raising money for NMDP and inspiring even more people to join the registry.
The impact one person can have
Taylor’s diagnosis was challenging, but she refused to let it define her. Instead, she found strength, hope, and purpose—turning her experience into a calling to help others facing the same journey. And she’s not alone. Many people like Taylor are still waiting for a donor—one who could be you.
When I think about my donor and his family, I am overwhelmed by his generous sacrifice and reminded of how his gift ultimately shaped many of my choices since, including my career at NMDP, filling my life with so much purpose, friendship, and hope.”
