Making history: Harper family patient access fund established with $3.4 million donation

The gift of a second chance

JUL 27, 2021 -  Since experiencing the impact of a blood stem cell transplant firsthand, the Harper family understands the immense gift a second chance can provide. They also realize the significant barriers many patients and families face on their personal journey to a cure.

The Harper Family Foundation expands access to life-saving cellular therapies with largest donation in Be The Match history.

Just last year, with an investment of $1.064 million, the Harper Family Foundation established the  Harper Family Patient Assistance Fund  that provided 733 Be The Match® patients and families with direct financial relief.

Expanding access again

Now, with even greater insight into the real-life impact of patient assistance, the Harper Family Foundation was inspired to continue increasing access for all patients through the Harper Family Patient Access Fund.

Addressing two of the most common barriers to transplant, the Harper Family Patient Access Fund provides tangible relief to patients and families facing financial uncertainty and accelerates groundbreaking research being led by Be The Match to increase the odds of finding a suitable match for every patient that needs one.

Saying YES no matter what

Just like Be The Match, the Harper Family Foundation is committed to saying "yes" to every patient in need. Their continued partnership removes common barriers that could prevent patients from receiving a transplant—and their own second chance at life.
