Overview
At Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego our mission is to restore, sustain and enhance the health and developmental potential of children through excellence in care, education, research and advocacy. The blood and marrow transplantation and immune effector cell therapy programs are FACT accredited and committed to providing optimal hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy services with curative intent for children and young adults with selected malignant, blood, and immune related disorders.This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1981 and has been an NMDP transplant center since January 1992.

Ronald McDonald housing is located across the street from the main hospital where designated caregivers have access to housing, showers, laundry facilities and free meals.
RCHSD has free local transportation services for Hematology/Oncology patients and caregivers.
Parent Liaisons, Social Workers, Psychologist, Supportive Care RN, Child Life Specialists and Chaplain provide emotional support to patients and families.

Joint BMT/Oncology survivorship/long-term follow-up care program which we call our Thriving After Cancer Clinic (TACC). We are the pediatric arm of the UCSD blood and marrow transplantation program. We work with our patients to transition their care to the adult team between the ages of 18 and 24 depending on the patients insurance and medical needs. Our adult team also has a BMT surviviorship program under the direction of Dr. Divya Koura. At TACC visits patients and families generally meet with the BMT/oncology physician, social worker, BMT nursing, and dietician. Referrals within our medical group for additional needed services are coordinated with these visits. Age

- Patients who were transplanted as a child at this center up to age 21-24
- Does accept patients who were transplanted at another hospital
- Will admit pediatric patients who transferred into the program if they are under age 21
