Overview
The UC San Diego Health Blood and Marrow Transplant program is a highly specialized multi-disciplinary team of board-certified hematologists and oncologists, advanced practitioners (NP/PA), transplant coordinators and case management, as well as licensed clinical social workers specializing in the unique needs of transplant patients and families.
UC San Diego Health provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services including Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplants, Allogeneic Transplants from Related and Matched Unrelated Donors, Haplo-identical Stem Cell Transplants, Cord Blood Transplants, CAR-T Cellular Therapy, Survivorship services, and access to gene therapy and cellular therapy based clinical trials.
Our program is the largest blood and marrow transplant program in San Diego County. Our center has been performing Allogeneic Stem Cell transplants since 1993 and has been a NMDP Transplant Center since 1998.This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1993 and has been an NMDP transplant center since July 1998.

To help BMT survivors enjoy the best health possible after their transplants, UC San Diego Health offers a unique, long-term follow-up program for our allogeneic patients. It offers support for both physical and psychological problems. The BMT Survivorship Program aims to identify patients who should be closely monitored and aggressively treated to prevent complications from cardiovascular disease or other serious issues.
