Transplant Summary
Overview
Myeloablative/non-myeloablative transplant approaches for patients with acute/chronic leukemia, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, marrow failure and other Myeloproliferative disorders. Interests include Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, reduced-intensity regimen for older patients, and novel therapies to prevent and treat graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). A new program of haplo identical transplantation for adult patients without related or unrelated donors; Pediatric BMT includes transplant for malignant diseases such as: Leukemia, lymphoma and Neuroblastoma; and non-malignant diseases such as: Sickle Cell Anemia; Thalassemia; SCIDS and other hematologic and genetic disorders; Cell types used for pediatric transplant include: bone marrow, peripheral blood stem cells and cord blood. CAR-T and other immune effector cell therapies are available.This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1987 and has been an NMDP transplant center since November 1999.
