Overview
More than 3,500 allogeneic, autologous and unrelated transplants have been performed at the Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Shands at the University of Florida, established in 1981. Our multidisciplinary team works together to evaluate each patient and determine the best course of treatment.This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1981 and has been an NMDP transplant center since October 1988.

University of Florida long term follow-up (LTFU) clinic provide lifelong support to transplant survivors. Our LTFU team works with our specialty providers (Gastroenterology, nutritionist, physical therapist, gynecology, pulmonology, ophthalmologist and dermatologist) to provide comprehensive post-transplant outpatient care. Our goal is to guide survivors to live a healthy life and to educate them about health risks after stem cell transplant.

Adults- Allogeneic and Autologous transplant recipients
- Adults: 3 months after tranplant after transplant.
- Adults (over age 18)
- Will provide care to adult patients who underwent transplant as a child
- Does accept patients who were transplanted at another hospital
