Overview
As the only tertiary children's hospital in the State of Hawaii, Kapi'olani Medical Center offers a comprehensive range of pediatric autologous and allogeneic transplants utilizing related, haploidentical, unrelated and cord blood donors. Our interprofessional team approach to family-centered care focuses on patient safety, optimal outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1997 and has been an NMDP transplant center since January 1978.

In addition to dedicated physicians and nurses, Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children's Transplant Team includes Behavioral Health, Child Life Specialists, Chaplains, an Educational Liaison, Integrative Services, Palliative Care, Patient Navigation / Social Work, Rehab Therapists and other specialists, as needed. Ronald McDonald House is a brief 10-minute drive from the facility and offers shuttle service to / from the hospital twice a day.Patient survival information for this center

Children- Allogeneic and Autologous transplant recipients
- 1 year after transplant.
- Patients who were transplanted as a child at this center with no upper age limit
- Does accept patients who were transplanted at another hospital
- Will admit pediatric patients who transferred into the program
