Overview
The Cardinal Glennon transplant team works closely with NMDP to ensure the best possible donor choice (related/unrelated/umbilical cord blood) to treat a variety of malignant and non-malignant diseases. Our multidisciplinary team works tirelessly to ensure that the transplant process is as successful and smooth as possible. We are members of all cooperative groups doing research on transplants in order to be able to offer the latest transplant technology.This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1994 and has been an NMDP transplant center since July 1998.

Each year, approximately 70 children in the St. Louis area are diagnosed with cancer and seek treatment at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon. The Costas Center enables a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to diagnose and treat children with cancer and blood disorders. Our world-class expertise in pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, tumor orthopedic surgery, radiology, radiation oncology and clinical pathology are all necessary components for the successful treatment of pediatric cancer. The Costas Center provides a comfortable setting for children to receive prolonged treatments, such as chemotherapy, transfusions or other drug treatments, without having to be admitted to the hospital. The center includes a 16-bed inpatient unit, day hospital and stem cell transplant unit.Patient survival information for this center

- Patients who were transplanted as a child at this center with no upper age limit
