Overview
St. Louis University Cancer Center Blood & Marrow Transplant Program performs a wide range of transplants including autologous, related and unrelated allogeneic, haploidentical, and umbilical cord blood transplants for a range of disorders including lymphomas, multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloproliferative disorders, testicular cancer & non-malignant hematological disorders such as aplastic anemia. We also perform Chimeric Antigen T cell (CAR T-cell) therapy for lymphomas and leukemias.This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1991 and has been an NMDP transplant center since February 1993.

In 2012, SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital opened the Outpatient Center, the first of it's kind in the St. Louis region allowing some cancer patients the ability to return home during treatment rather than face a lengthy inpatient hospital stay.Patient survival information for this center

Survivorship Program About the center St. Louis University Cancer Center Blood & Marrow Transplant Program performs a wide range of transplants including autologous, related and unrelated allogeneic, haploidentical, and umbilical cord blood transplants for a range of disorders including lymphomas, multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloproliferative disorders, testicular cancer & non-malignant hematological disorders such as aplastic anemia. A full range of transplant types is performed including autologous, allogeneic related, matched unrelated, mismatched unrelated, haploidentical, and cord blood. Other programs and services: In 2012, SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital opened the Outpatient Center, the first of its kind in the St. Louis region allowing some cancer patients the ability to return home during treatment rather than face a lengthy inpatient hospital stay. The center's Long-Term Follow-Up Clinic provides comprehensive outpatient survivorship for patients who have had a stem cell or bone marrow transplant. The Doctors and Advanced Practitioners help prevent, manage, and treat long-term side effects to provide lifelong support and care. This center also collaborates with the St. Louis University Cancer Center's Music Therapy Program to assist patients with pain/stress management, decreasing anxiety/agitation/restlessness, and increasing effective coping.
