Overview
The adult Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy program at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a FACT-accredited program offering autologous, related and unrelated allogeneic transplants, and Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR T) Cell Therapy. With a mission focused on quality and comprehensive care, the program participates in clinical trials research to meet individualized patient needs. Our experienced staff of dedicated healthcare providers offers both inpatient and outpatient transplants.This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1990 and has been an NMDP transplant center since August 1993.

The Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center is a multidisciplinary adult program offering both autologous, related and unrelated allogeneic transplants, and Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR T) Cell Therapy. Each patient meets an assigned Transplant Nurse Coordinator at the time of consultation to help navigate the transplant journey. Comprehensive, personalized care is accomplished through our dedicated team of transplant physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), social workers, nutritionists, clinical practice pharmacists, recreational therapists and transplant-specific RNs. Discounted housing is available through the SECU Family house. A transplant orientation class is offered along with financial counseling and the support of a dedicated Cancer Patient Support Program.Patient survival information for this center

For autologous transplant recipients, survivorship clinic begins at 2 years post-transplant. For allogeneic transplant recipients, survivorship clinic begins at 3 years or later based on post-transplant challenges. Recipients are seen yearly for the first 6 years, then every other year. Our mission is to guide our transplant survivors toward wellness and a return to life in their communities with continued medical care, a range of resources, and a connection to support or supportive services. This includes: Monitoring for early detection of new or returning cancers — Managing late side effects related to transplant — Lifestyle coaching and tips to help reduce cancer risk — A support team with information about community resources, psychosocial care and integrative care — Access to research studies on quality of life and survivorship
