Overview
The Nebraska Medical Center offers the clinical expertise of academic and private practice physicians, access to new technologies, and innovative treatment from some of the top specialists in the world. Nebraska Medicine has one of the most respected oncology departments in the country.This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1983 and has been an NMDP transplant center since September 1988.

The Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center opened June of 2017. This state of the art facility offers patients:
108-bed inpatient treatment center, all private rooms; Outpatient center featuring clinics that includes surgical, medical and radiation oncologists, and support services; 24/7 Infusion Center, which serves as both a treatment center and a 24/7 urgent-care-type facility; High-tech units and operating rooms geared specifically for treating cancer patients; Resource and Wellness Center; Free valet parking; Onsite dining; Healing Arts program, cultivating an atmosphere of hope and resilience.

In addition, there is a Ronald McDonald house adjacent the medical center property as well as local hotels that offer a discounted rate and transportation to and from the Buffett Cancer Center.This center's data is not sufficient to develop survival estimates for 2024.
